Forget passwords: Introducing Instant Login
In a previous blog post, we explored the pain of passwords in the classroom (just imagine getting a room full of second graders logged in to a website). Teachers lose countless hours to login problems, with 25% of online learning time lost. Today we’re excited to share a new solution to the password problem: Instant Login.
How it works
Instant Login offers students and teachers one-click access to learning software. They no longer need to keep track of multiple passwords.
Students and teachers first sign into Clever using their existing school credentials. From Clever, they can click into any of their connected learning applications. Instant Login is simple and secure.
Applications
Instant Login works with over 20 of the most popular learning apps, and the list is growing. Partners include:
- Algebra Nation
- Dreambox Learning
- My Big Campus
- Power My Learning
- Remind 101
- and more! (see our Help Center for a full list)
Availability
We want as many students as possible to benefit from Instant Login. For that reason, we’re providing it to districts for free.
To use Instant Login, a school district needs to be using either Active Directory Federation Services or Google Apps for Education. We are working to extend support to more districts.
Instant Login is currently being piloted, and will be rolled out widely this summer. For more details or to activate Instant Login, visit our Help Center.
We are incredibly excited about Instant Login, and we hope you are too!
