Sunnyside’s secret recipe for digital curriculum success

December 2, 2015 Kevin Acocella

Inside one of the nation’s most technologically advanced districts

About five years ago, the perfect storm converged on Sunnyside Unified School District.

Until 2011, the Pima, Arizona school district of 14,000 students wasn’t particularly advanced in its adoption of learning technologies. But the convergence of a change-agent superintendent, some unexpected local investments in education, and federal funding through e-Rate set Sunnyside on a path toward serious technological overhaul.

Read how Sunnyside became what it is today: a showcase to school systems across the country who are considering digital curriculum projects of their own.
