Participate in Hour of Code with a coding lesson that also protects marine life from pollution.

Kodable is great for earlier elementary because it’s game-based and doesn’t require much reading. In Beach Cleanup, students will learn how to write simple programs to solve mazes using basic coding concepts.

What teachers say about Kodable

“Kodable was useful for learning basic coding. The students enjoyed making their own games and playing each others games. My students love playing and creating new games.” Benita C.

Up to four players can join in the coding fun with Snoopy Snow Brawl, designed to teach students the basic concepts of sequencing, parameters and loops.

What teachers say about CodeSpark Academy

“I used codeSpark Academy to engage my early finishers. It allows my students to practice their coding skills in a fun and engaging way. The app also requires that they are concise with their movements, so it teaches them to not include extra information that is not necessary. My students LOVE IT!” – Melissa S.

Participate in Hour of Code with a coding lesson on how to program music.

Students can learn how to program their own 8 count beat patterns with the Generating Beats activity, using JavaScript block coding. Students can experiment in creating an array of beats on which to play sounds through the use of parameters.

What teachers say about CodeHS

“In my classroom, I used it for instruction with my 7th graders to let them see what coding looks like on a computer. Some of them have coded with symbols before on paper, but I wanted them to see how to make projects interactive. Some of them really enjoyed it and so did I.” – Latecha G.
