Course Overview for District Admins
In case you haven’t heard, Clever Academy is our brand new online training platform, with free courses for District Admins, Teachers, and School Tech Leads. For each of our users there is a certification track that’s structured into four levels and four courses. Regardless of experience, everyone begins at Level 1. After successful completion, you are advanced to the next level.
Before you enroll in a course in Clever Academy, you have the opportunity to preview the Curriculum and the estimated time of completion. The best part? You don’t have to complete a course in one sitting! You can pause your training and then resume right where you left off whenever you’re ready.
Below is an overview of what District Admins will learn in each of the four courses on the certification track. If you’re ready to get started, enroll in Level 1 today!
Level 1: Intro to Clever
Clever is that auto rostering tool, right? Yes, but it’s also so much more! In this course, you’ll get the full scope on how Clever makes it easier and safer for your district to connect to technology.
You’ll learn about:
- Time-saving tools
- How we protect your district’s data
- How your district’s users will interact with the technology that Clever connects them with
Complete this course and you’ll be certified Level 1: Clever Cadet. This course is a prerequisite to Level 2 and beyond.
Level 2: Learning the basics
Get acquainted with the Clever platform and complete the activities to start setting up your Clever account. In this Clever Academy course, learn how to set up your sync and portal. Once your portal is set up, you’ll create user accounts and add applications to your portal.
You’ll learn about:
- The Clever Portal and District Dashboard
- How to set up your account
- Adding applications and team members
Complete this course and you’ll earn a badge for Level 2: Clever Coach. This course is a prerequisite to Level 3 and beyond.
Level 3: Setting your district up for success
Learn to master the Clever features that will make your teachers’ and students’ lives easier! In this course, you’ll customize your district’s Portal, set sharing rules, implement Badges for seamless login, deliver analytics to key players, and set up Teacher Pages and tools.
You’ll learn about:
- Clever Portal custom settings
- Using Badges
- Analytics
- Teacher Pages and other teacher tools
Complete this course and you’ll earn a badge for Level 3: Clever Captain. This course is a prerequisite to Level 4 and beyond.
Level 4: Becoming a Clever Champion
Learn to be an expert in advanced scenarios. In this course, you’ll learn to accommodate exceptions to your SIS, fulfill unique data requirements with extension fields, set up content mapping for online textbooks, and prepare Clever for the end of term and summer session.
You’ll learn about:
- Adding custom teachers
- Content mapping
- Working through semester changes
Complete this course and you’ll be certified Level 4: Clever Champion, earning a badge, certificate, and ability to post your new certification on LinkedIn.
